Celebrating the First 100 Days of the Stein Administration

This past weekend’s North Carolina Governor’s Inaugural Ball festivities were an exceptional experience of reconnecting with fellow change makers and community champions to celebrate the first 100 days of Governor Josh Stein’s gubernatorial service to our great state.

I’m so grateful to the Junior League of Raleigh for organizing one magical gathering after another, bringing together inspiring individuals in beautiful scenarios paired with memorable musical performances and food that reflected the many culinary gifts offered from our mountains to our coast. Plus, Marbles Kids Museum offered the perfect location to reconnect with our inner child selves, coloring hot air balloons, shooting basketballs, building with oversized legos and playing hockey.

Although I never remember to take enough photos (even with assists and nudges from friends like Attorney General Jeff Jackson), I’m so appreciative of the squad members who joined me for the fun as well as the friends with whom we celebrated throughout the night. The positive vibes were contagious!

As one attendee shared, “I may not know what the future holds, but I can tell you that true happiness comes to those who seek to serve others”, and it’s an honor being in service with such outstanding North Carolinians.

Governor Josh Stein was called to public service by a faith that teaches him how we are all called to make a difference and by a family that teaches him to try to do what is right, grounding him in our shared values of freedom and opportunity for all. With that in mind, Governor Stein’s focus is on creating a safer, stronger North Carolina. As Governor, he will bring people together to help western North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene, create economic opportunity for all North Carolinians, invest in public schools and keep people safe.

We all are so blessed by Governor Stein’s unwavering commitment to each and every constituent across this great state, and I am personally very grateful for both his public service as well as his friendship. His love of North Carolina paired with great vision, compassion, innovation, empathy and energy will keep the momentum going strong!
