Thanks to KNOW Summit for Work-Life Integration Panel

The KNOW Women are a group of ambitious women who support one another with connections and visibility such that these female leaders, executives and entrepreneurs can successfully attain their high-achieving goals for both income and impact. Each April, the founder of KNOW, Sarah Benken Foushee, brings together members in the flagship chapters of Charlotte, Phoenix and Tampa Bay as well as neighborhood chapters like Raleigh and Asheville along with all ambitious women nationwide to further these aspirations for connections and visibility. It’s 3 days of massive learning, networking and celebrating!

This year, I was honored to be a participant on the panel about work-life integration, joining Elena Arecco Bridgmon of LUMO and Epic Life Coaching as well as Kelsey Emery of Industrious as panelists with Kanika Chadda Gupta of That’s Total Mom Sense as our moderator. From time blocking to flexible workspaces to delegating to being strategic with your time, there is much buzz around work-life integration, but we really dug into real-life definitions of work-life integration, how to implement a healthy work-life integration that fulfills you and ways to utilize work-life integration for boosting productivity across all elements of life. This panel was designed for “the modern day, busy working woman who wears multiple hats and is searching for tactical solutions to the juggle” because the struggle with the juggle is real.

As you can hear in the video above, attendees were fully engaged, had plenty of a-ha moments and truly enjoyed what I shared on the panel. They were even coming up to me over the next day and a half with compliments on all the actionable takeaways that they really appreciated and would be utilizing.

About what were attendees raving? Here are a few takeaways of note:

  • Productivity is not about simply accomplishing what matters most across all elements of life.

  • Instead, productivity is about efficiently and effectively accomplishing what matters most amongst your priorities for home, work, community as well as your mind, body and spirit.

  • Work-life integration facilitates enhanced productivity because it enables having the flexibility and fluidity amongst all your layers to invest your limited resource of time in what has truly earned your time, what really matters to you, which is unique for everybody.

  • To implement work-life integration for greater productivity, one needs to strategically invest your time, aim for multiple wins simultaneously, focus on outcomes instead of activities and include boundaries that meet your unique needs instead of following society’s “shoulds”.

  • It’s imperative to realize that each minute can be invested only once, and saying yes to investing a minute in something means saying no to investing it in any other manner; thus, investments in time are not going to garner more time but a different ROI for that investment.

  • Putting work-life integration in place for your greatest success means determining what you (or your team members might) need and, then, asking those who can help for what’s needed.

If you’re looking to bring such concepts to your business, corporate team or organization so that you can all achieve better success, please reach out, and we’ll set aside time to discuss how I can help meet your needs. Together, we can make a positive impact for you and your team to make every minute matter.
