Proud to Support My Friend, Josh Stein
Hard-working, genuine, empathetic, intelligent, caring, constituent-focused, bipartisan… These are a few of the words I used recently in co-hosting an event in support of my friend, Josh Stein, and I’m grateful for this opportunity to spotlight him for others.
When Team Stein reached out to me about hosting an event for Attorney General Josh Stein’s bid to be North Carolina’s Governor, I immediately agreed, knowing this would be a great opportunity to share his awesomeness with my network; then, I thought about how much more fun it is to do things like this with others and reached out to Emily Grey of The Flourish Market, asking her to co-host with me.
Last week, when Emily Grey fell ill (Don’t worry… She is healing nicely!), we were able to engage Liz McLean to assist, where Liz shared the perfect words with ideal energy to kickoff and wrap-up the fireside chat that Josh and I had.
In our conversation, Josh and I dug into how his upbringing creates a passion for service, how his religion encourages him to focus on love for his neighbors, how he is helping the relief efforts in Western North Carolina, how he enables as well as encourages female leadership, how he promotes women’s economic freedom and how each of us can support the bright future ahead for our great state.
As Liz McLean shared in her remarks, our state’s motto is “esse quam videri”, which means “to be rather than to seem”, and we agree that Attorney General Josh Stein lives that out in his leadership each day.
Being a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, it is vital for me to partner with others who agree on the importance of bipartisanship. Likewise, being a member of Flourish Coworking in Raleigh, NC, it felt so right to invite our event attendees into this beautiful space.

I’m so blessed with an incredible group of friends who are like family that surround me with love and support, especially in important moments like this. Y’all, this was such a joyous evening and an honor to support Josh Stein!
